The EN Optical Clarity is a way of ranking different aspects of how clearly you will see through the welding lens. With #1 being the highest rating, 1/1/1/1 ensures the best attainable visibility, minimize distortion and maximizing clarity. The Fabricator has a great article explaining in depth at this link:
