A baseline for filter change on PAPR systems is recommended to change the main filter every 40 hours of use or every 30 days, whichever comes first. Of course, the change interval will depend on the type of work being performed, the amount and type of fume being filtered, and the environmental conditions such as humidity.
You can also help extend the life of the main filter by frequent replacement of the prefilter.
