About the Role:
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be frontline support for walk-in customers in our Mississauga Showroom. Daily, you will be assisting customers with their purchasing decisions of welding equipment & tools, directing customers to right sales channels, taking in-person orders, picking orders from our Warehouse and managing the showroom's inventory and merchandising duties.
Work Location: On-site - 6829 Pacific Circle, Mississauga
Store Hours:: Monday - Saturday 7:30am-6pm
Key Responsibilities
Support walk-in customers with their purchases, manage pick up orders, and handle returns/exchanges following store policies
Process payments (cash, credit, debit) and manage all point of sale operations
Guide customers to the right sales channels and smoothly transfer them to Technical Sales for advanced support
Perform daily opening and closing procedures, including store readiness checks and securing the premises, ensuring a smooth and efficient store operation
Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and safe store environment, including showroom displays and stock replenishment, while adhering to all applicable Health & Safety Regulations
Collaborate with Sales and Warehouse team to troubleshoot and resolve customer order issues
Partner with Operations and Warehouse team to perform cycle counts where required to correct discrepancies
Continuously expand your product knowledge through in-store training, available resources, and cross-functional warehouse functions. Proactively stay informed about the latest tool industry by utilizing online platforms, video resources, peer collaboration, and social media
Other duties as assigned by Technical Sales Supervisor
Qualification
Friendly, can-do attitude with strong customer service skills
Solid written and verbal communication abilities
Merchandising experience is required
Experience in a similar retail environment is considered an asset
Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite
Performance-driven with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must be available to work between 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and potentially Saturdays
Physical Job Requirements:
The physical demands outlined below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. These include:
Lifting & Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently, with occasional team lifting of heavier items
Movement: Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Ability to push/pull loaded carts
Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small objects, operate equipment (scanners, tools), and manage inventory
Stamina: Ability to maintain physical activity throughout the shift, including prolonged periods of standing and movement
