As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our warehouse operations and help build a safe, efficient, and scalable operation for the future.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for the overall performance of the warehouse, including people, workflow, inventory, systems, safety, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will lead and coach Warehouse Leads while ensuring the right processes, resources, and controls are in place to support our evolving omnichannel growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Performance
Manage the overall flow of warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
Manage daily workflow, capacity, priorities, and resources to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Serve as a leader and coach to Warehouse Leads, providing direction, accountability, and support while empowering them to effectively lead their teams.
Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, order accuracy, and service levels.
Establish and monitor warehouse KPIs and use data to identify trends, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Proactively identify operational disruptions and bottlenecks and implement solutions to minimize their impact on customers and the business.
Ensure the warehouse is appropriately staffed and resourced to meet changing business demands.
Inventory, Systems & Asset Management
Oversee inventory accuracy and controls, including regular cycle counts, investigations, adjustments, and reconciliation.
Maintain strong controls over warehouse assets, equipment, materials, and physical inventory.
Ensure effective use and execution of warehouse systems, including NetSuite ERP/WMS, to support accurate and efficient operations.
Identify opportunities to improve system processes, data accuracy, and automation.
Monitor warehouse operating costs and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising service or safety.
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop Warehouse Leads and associates, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance, attendance, safety, and adherence to processes.
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of warehouse employees.
Build a strong team capable of supporting the company's current needs and future growth.
Health & Safety
Champion a strong health and safety culture and ensure warehouse operations comply with applicable Ontario health and safety requirements.
Implement and maintain safe work practices, procedures, training, inspections, and hazard controls.
Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee and support the implementation of corrective actions.
Ensure employees are appropriately trained in WHMIS, material handling, forklift operation, emergency procedures, and other applicable safety requirements.
Investigate workplace incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions as required.
Process Improvement & Growth
Develop, implement, and continuously improve warehouse processes, SOPs, and operating standards.
Apply Lean principles and structured problem-solving approaches to identify root causes, eliminate waste, and improve operational efficiency.
Use data, KPIs, and structured analysis to identify issues and implement sustainable solutions.
Ensure the warehouse, equipment, systems, and physical infrastructure are ready to support current and future business needs.
Build scalable processes, systems, and controls to support CWS's evolving omnichannel growth strategy, including e-commerce, retail, cylinders/gas, rentals, and future business opportunities.
Support future facility expansions, new technologies, and potentially multi-location operations.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Support, and leadership to ensure seamless end-to-end customer fulfillment.
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or related supply-chain experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
Experience in industrial distribution, MRO, e-commerce, retail, or a similar high-volume environment.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, workflow, capacity planning, and operational performance.
Strong knowledge of Ontario health and safety requirements and experience promoting a safety-focused workplace.
Experience with ERP/WMS systems; NetSuite ERP/WMS experience is an asset.
Experience with Lean principles, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving.
Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and accountability skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
Experience developing and monitoring operational KPIs.
Experience supporting facility changes, operational expansions, technology implementation, or other significant operational projects is an asset.
Forklift certification and experience operating material-handling equipment is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with flexibility to occasionally support the afternoon/evening shift or Saturday operations as required.
