Blue Demon general purpose R45 mild steel gas welding rod

R45 is a general purpose, copper coated, oxy-acetylene gas welding rod used for welding low carbon steels up to ¼” thick.  It is a great selection when ductility and machinability are most important.  You do not need a flux when brazing with this product.  A neutral flame should be used.

 Typical Applications:  steel sheets and plates, pipes and castings, structural shapes, ornamental artwork, automotive repair.

  • Diameters available, 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16
  • Rod length is 36"
  • Available in 1 lb tubes & 10 lb Sleeves
