Monolith M-308L electrodes are designed for welding of austenitic stainless steels such as 302, 304 and 308, etc. in the operating temperature range not exceeding 450°C (842°F). Main applications are found in equipment, tanks, cisterns and stainless steel pipes for use in the food, textile, oil refining, paper, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in the automotive and general engineering industries.

Terms of use

  • High welding and technological properties, low spatter, stable arc burning, easy slag removal, and excellent seam quality
  • Excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments and high resistance to intracrystalline corrosion

Special properties

  • Type 302, 304 and 308 stainless steels
  • They are used for welding in all spatial positions, except vertical down one
  • Welding is recommended to be performed at the highest possible speed without transverse oscillations of the electrode
