*A note about #11 Cups - The #11 cups came into being back in the 60’s for the shipyards. Tapered cups focus the argon and the shipyard workers needed something that would act more like a flood cup. The shipyards being big accounts who would order large volumes drove the #11 design and it has continued to be produced this way to this day.
